The Pillars of Oxford Herbal
I help people restore health by working with nature, not against it. Everything I offer is rooted in traditional herbal medicine, iridology and seasonal living — practical, humane, and paced for real life.
1) One-to-One Clinical Work
My clinical work is iridology-led and terrain-focused. We look at the whole pattern — digestion, nervous system, inflammation, sleep, energy and emotional context — and create a simple plan you can actually live with.
Iridology readings with clear, plain-language feedback
Personalised herbal tinctures and infusions
Six-month “reset” pathways for deeper change
Gentle, steady pacing; no overwhelm
Many people use an iridology reading as the first step before beginning herbal treatment, as it helps us understand exactly where the body needs support.
Following the assessment, some clients choose to work with me over several months using personalised herbal formulas to gently restore balance in the body.
2) Group Programmes & Seasonal Cycles
Structured Programmes & Seasonal Immersion
For those ready to work more deeply and consistently, my group work offers steady, guided support rooted in seasonal rhythm and terrain-based care.
These are not generic courses or quick fixes. They are thoughtful containers designed to help you feel less lost in complex symptoms and more confident in how your body works.
The Herbal Reset
A six-month guided programme designed to move you from confusion to clarity through steady, coherent care. We build capacity before change so that progress feels sustainable rather than forced. Over time, you begin to understand your patterns, respond without panic, and see real evidence that your body can stabilise.

Common Questions
Everything you need to feel ready to begin.
Many people arrive with similar questions about iridology, herbal medicine and how consultations work. Below are answers to some of the most common things people ask before beginning.
About Iridology
What is iridology?
Iridology is the study of the iris — the coloured part of the eye. Just as your constitution is written into the way you move, breathe and respond to the world, it is also written into the pattern of your iris.
Through iridology I can gain insight into your inherited constitution, the current state of your tissues, and the emotional imprinting that has shaped your body over time. It is not a diagnostic tool in the conventional sense — it does not name diseases — but it is a rich and nuanced map that helps us understand where your body is asking for support.
Iridology does not diagnose or treat specific diseases and is used as a tool to understand constitutional patterns and support overall wellbeing.
Is iridology scientifically proven?
Iridology sits within the tradition of constitutional medicine rather than conventional diagnostics, and the evidence base differs from that of pharmaceutical research.
What I can say with confidence is that after years of clinical practice, iridology has consistently helped me understand my clients more deeply and offer more precisely targeted support. Many clients tell me that an iridology reading was the first time they truly felt seen in their health story.
I always encourage you to approach it with an open, curious mind — and to let your own experience guide you.
What happens during an iridology reading?
We begin with a gentle conversation about your health story, your symptoms and what has brought you to this point.
I then take a close look at your irises using a specialist light and lens. From there, I talk you through what I see — your constitutional type, the patterns that stand out, the tissues that are asking for attention, and the emotional signatures I notice.
You will receive a clear, plain-language overview of your terrain, along with suggestions for herbal and lifestyle support. The whole session is calm, unhurried and deeply personal.
Do I need to prepare anything beforehand?
No special preparation is needed. Simply come as you are.
If you wear contact lenses, it helps to remove them before the session if you can, as they can obscure the iris slightly. It is also useful to bring a brief note of any symptoms, health concerns or medications you are currently taking, so we can make the most of our time together.
About Herbal Medicine
What is herbal medicine?
Herbal medicine is the oldest form of medicine on earth. It uses plants — their roots, leaves, flowers, barks, seeds and resins — to support the body's own capacity to heal.
My approach is rooted in Western herbal tradition, blended with an understanding of terrain, tissue states and emotional patterns. Every formula I make is handcrafted in my apothecary using carefully sourced herbs chosen specifically for your constitution, current symptoms and overall terrain.
You are not receiving a generic remedy — you are receiving something made entirely for you.
What conditions do you work with?
I work primarily with people who feel anxious, depleted, overwhelmed or out of balance.
Common patterns I support include digestive disturbance, nervous system dysregulation, poor sleep, fatigue, hormonal imbalance, skin conditions, and the kind of low-grade chronic symptoms that conventional medicine has not been able to fully address.
If you are unsure whether herbal medicine is right for your situation, please do get in touch — I am always happy to have a brief conversation before you book.
How long before I notice a difference?
Herbal medicine works gently and progressively.
Most people notice subtle shifts within the first two to four weeks — a steadier digestion, a calmer nervous system, improved sleep, a sense of feeling less reactive.
Deeper, more structural changes often take longer, particularly for patterns that have built up over many years. I always work at the pace your body sets, and I will be honest with you about what is realistic for your situation.
Do I need to stop taking my existing supplements?
Not necessarily.
I will ask you about everything you are currently taking — prescribed medications, supplements and any other remedies — and factor this into your formula. Many supplements work beautifully alongside herbal medicine.
I will flag anything that needs adjustment and guide you through any changes.
Medication & Safety
Can I use herbal medicine if I am taking prescribed medication?
In many cases, yes — but this requires careful consideration.
Some herbs interact with certain medications, and it is important that I know everything you are taking before we begin. I will always work collaboratively with your GP if needed, and I will never recommend anything that I do not feel is safe for your particular situation.
Your safety is my first concern. If you are on long-term medication for a complex condition, please mention this when you get in touch so I can advise before you book.
Do I need a GP referral?
No referral is needed. You can book directly through this website.
That said, I always encourage you to keep your GP informed of any complementary therapies you are using. Herbal medicine works best when it forms part of a joined-up picture of your health, not as a replacement for conventional care where that is needed.
Is herbal medicine safe during pregnancy?
Some herbs are contraindicated in pregnancy, and this is an area where I exercise great care.
If you are pregnant or trying to conceive, please contact me before booking so we can discuss whether and how I can support you safely. There is much that herbal medicine can offer during this time, but the approach needs to be tailored with particular attentiveness.
What if I have a reaction or a problem with my formula?
This is rare, but if you notice anything unusual after beginning your herbal formula — skin reactions, digestive upset or anything that concerns you — please contact me straight away.
I am always available between sessions for brief queries about your remedy, and I will advise you clearly on what to do. In the unlikely event of a serious reaction, please seek medical attention immediately.
Practical Booking Questions
Where do consultations take place?
I offer herbal consultations in person in Oxfordshire and at my Chelsea clinic in London. I also offer online consultations via video call for those who prefer to work remotely or who live further afield.
Both formats work well — the depth of the work is the same. Herbal formulas are posted directly to you wherever you are in the UK.
How do I book?
You can book directly through the form on this page.
If you are unsure which service is right for you, please use the contact form to send me a brief message and I will help you find the best starting point. I aim to respond to all enquiries within two working days.
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask for at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
Cancellations made with less notice may be charged in full, as the time has been reserved for you and is difficult to fill at short notice. I understand that life is unpredictable — if something unavoidable arises, please do contact me and we will find a way forward.
How many sessions will I need?
This varies depending on the complexity of your situation and which service you choose.
A single iridology reading can be deeply useful as a standalone session. For most herbal work, I recommend at least three to four months to see meaningful, lasting change. My Deep Reset and Longevity programmes are designed to offer the sustained support that complex or long-standing patterns often need.
We will always discuss what feels right for you at the outset, and I will never push you into more than you need.
Do you offer a discovery call before booking?
Yes.
If you would like a brief conversation before committing to a session, please use the contact form to request a short call. I am happy to spend ten to fifteen minutes talking through your situation and helping you understand which service might suit you best.
There is no charge for this.
Are your services available internationally?
Online consultations are available to clients anywhere in the world.
Herbal formulas can be posted within the UK; international posting is available for some products — please ask when you book. For iridology readings, the session takes place via video call with clear, good quality lighting on your end.
If you are curious but unsure whether this approach is right for you, please do get in touch. Many people begin with questions, and I am always happy to guide you.
