About me

Rooted in compassion. Guided by nature. In service to healing.

Welcome, I’m Sarah—Master Herbalist, Iridologist, and the founder of Oxford Herbal.

My journey into herbal medicine began in a hospital, not a herb garden. I was working as a medical secretary in the Histopathology Department at The Nuffield Orthopaedic Hospital in Oxford, typing reports on body parts removed due to poor diet and chronic illness. Day after day, I found myself thinking: Surely there’s another way. I knew people shouldn’t have to lose parts of their bodies to lifestyle-related disease.

Then my sister was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive brain cancer—with no known cure. I became her carer and constant companion, sitting beside her through appointments and treatments, trying to make sense of the fear and heartbreak we faced as a family. Desperate for answers, we explored every healing path we could—from sound therapy and shamanic work to homeopathy and light healing. It was herbal medicine, combined with nutrition and lifestyle changes, that finally made a difference. We couldn’t cure her cancer, but we gave her more time, dignity, and quality of life.

That experience changed everything.

I went on to train at the Irish School of Herbal Medicine for four years, flying to Ireland every six weeks to complete over 600 clinical hours. I led consultations, created bespoke remedies, and learned iridology alongside plant medicine. Since then, I’ve continued my studies with teachers like Margi Flint and The School of Evolutionary Herbalism.

Today, I help people heal from the root. Using the iris as a map and the plants as medicine, I craft personalised herbal protocols that honour your terrain, constitution, and story. Whether you’re dealing with chronic illness or simply longing to reconnect with your body, I offer a space for clarity, care, and transformation.

This is herbal medicine for the whole self.
